Why I Don't Find Humor In The Derrick Jaxn Situation

If you're not really into YouTuber world then maybe you never heard of Derrick Jaxn. He's a youtuber that does relationship advice/dating advice for women mostly. He kept his private life very private and didn't talk about being married or about any of his personal information like some public Youtubers do or don't. A lot of people have been entertained by an affair being exposed by one of his mistresses. Of course, it was followed by a stream of internet memes and humiliation jokes. Derrick and his wife publicly addressed the affair situation and people went on to bash his wife for her appearence. They laughed and talked down on her for choosing to stay and work on her marriage to her spouse. People felt like she wasn't looking great enough to come on the internet. Some people were accusing Derrick of being abusive and forcing his wife to do a video. The internet the last few days has been in an opinated frenzy. This situation was on talk shows, radio shows, and all over all of Youtube. I just don't applaud picking on anyone. We're always telling children bullies are not acceptable, yet adults have no issue verbally tearing others down. It's not okay to laugh at a couple that's having an extremely common problem. People who are not married find themselves dealing with infidelity as well. It's no joking matter because it destroys families and people have gone as far as killing themselves or others due to these situations. Children are impacted for years after parents divorce and it's nothing wrong with ending the toxicity in your relationship and wanting to fix it. I'm so disgusted as usual with humanities lack of empathy towards fellow humans. There's no couple that hasn't had the threat of outside people trying to invade their relationship. This is no joking matter. People experience traumatic emotions from affairs. It's not funny to kick people while they're down. I'm not saying people shouldn't be held accountable for their mishaps, but it isn't okay to ridicule people appearences and laugh at them for explaining a private matter publicly due to it being exposed on a public platform. No hurting wife deserves to have to expose to the whole world her spouse cheated after already coming to terms with it privately then being picked on. It's insensitive and disgusting. I wish this family nothing but healing and peace. Let's start in our own homes practicing kindness and consideration.

Until Next Time,

Dx3
