What I Like To Make In My Air Fryer!!!!

Air Fryers have been making a name for themselves the last few years. I was blessed enough to get one for Christmas a few years ago. I don't use it as much as I should. However, recently I've been using it like crazy while we're in the process of replacing our stove. It's a really quick way to make your food and it's literally a lot less greasy than cooking certain foods the traditional way in a frying pan or deep fryer. I use it to sometimes even short cut waiting on my microwave to cook certain things. Here's a few things I like to use it for :   Fish: This has to be my favorite thing to cook in my air fryer! It is so easy to season and throw in there on the fish setting. I usually up the timer because my spouse likes his fish a bit crunchy, but fish is really good to make in the air fryer. It works if you use breader or if you just want to put it in without breader. It still has a good crunchy texture and it's not dripping with grease. The downside wo...

Prep Pressure

Things are hectic lately! I have so many responsibilities piling up! I'm trying to  become more organized. Having a large family size comes with a lot of schedules to accommodate. I've been looking at meal prepping ideas for awhile. With us being so busy it's not always possible for me to cook a full course meal in a timely manner. I also tend to get tired of fast food. I can't eat fast food a lot. I'm really accustomed to cooking and eating full meals. Fixing food in advance will help me make less trips to fast food restaurants. Some benefits I read about is that food prepping will result in a quicker trip to the store, less card swiping, and even less overeating. So I finally gave this a shot!   THE RESULTS My trip to the store was maybe 20 minutes shorter. I spent about $90 and was able to make about 9 meals. So I guess I spent about $10 per meal. This is good because my husband and I usually spend about $10 per combo plus whatever my kids will order when eatin...

Shrimp and Chicken Alfredo

Image
Ingredients: *  Boneless chicken breasts * Cooked medium shrimp *A box of penne * Parmesan Cheese * A container of  Alfredo Sauce (any will work) This meal is moderately easy and doesn't take long to prepare. I usually start boiling water for my pasta before doing anything else. After that I start cleaning my shrimp and chicken at different times and sit them separately and deal with them one at a time so you don't cross contaminate. Once everything is clean you can cut your chicken breast in small chunks and  start seasoning. Everyone has different preferences for seasoning but I usually use a seasoning salt and pepper. I don't like to over do it because I'll add some butter to the pans while my food is cooking and I don't want it too salty.  I cook my shrimp in a frying pan and my chicken in another one so they can cook at the same time . I add a little extra virgin olive oil and water and a little butter to both frying pans. Once the water is boiling for my pasta...
